Our mats are custom made for your vehicle and provide maximum protection for you vehicle floor. Our factory has thousands of templates that have been custom made for each car make and year so the coverage is maximized as is the quality of the carpet and binding. Our customization options are unparalleled compared to retail stores and, don’t forget, are officially licensed and not cheap imitations.

What is the difference between carpet styles and types? Back to top

There are three main categories of mat styles: luxury berber, carpet (many options in quality) and rubber.

Berber

Berber is a European style 48 oz. mat with a serged edge that has a luxurious look and feel. It resists wear, tear and footprints with a thicker and tighter loop providing one of the most durable and elegant floor mats the market can deliver.

Carpet

Our carpet comes in many different qualities from our popular Ultimat, to our 22 oz. Touring and 28 oz. Grand Touring. Heavyweight mats are also available with 48 oz weight of super soft Anso RPM continuous filament nylon yarn. All of these carpets are manufactured with high quality nylon yarn with an excellent finish that is superior to most mats on the market today.

Rubber

As the name implies these rubber mats are custom fit to over 4500 exact fitting patterns for your vehicle and are one piece. They have hundreds of “cups” to hold water, mud, snow, sand and spills. They have rounded wells at the walls and are designed for easy cleaning (they just hose off). The heavyweight composition rubber keeps flexible even in sub-zero temperatures and the rubber nib backing keeps the mats in place.

Why should I buy your floor mats compared to the mats that come from the original manufacturer (OEM)? Back to top

Most mats from the factory (called OEM mats) are of mediocre quality for several reasons. Number one is coverage - more coverage for them = more cost. The second, and most important, reason is carpet quality. Our carpet is of high quality (even our minimum quality carpet is superior) and wear resistant meant to last for years of wear and tear. Better quality and better coverage would be your Floormatexpress experience.

What is the difference in bindings for your mats? Back to top

Serging gives a luxury look to the carpet mat that separates it from other mats. Though standard on the luxury berber mats, serging can now be added to the Touring and Grand Touring mats. Standard binding that comes with your mats is a high quality nylon mesh cloth tape or a nylon velour edging, depending on the carpet type chosen. Again, your mats can be customized with matching color binding, different color binding, neon binding or serged binding in most cases with a variety of colors to choose from.

What kind of backing do you use? Back to top

There are two main backings used on our mats. The first is a 4 layer backing: Polypropylene mesh gives the tufted yarn its shape, extra heavy latex creates stiffness to help maintain mat shape, water-resistant layer to keep moisture from the original carpet, and finally Tractionbac composition rubber with natural non-skid characteristics. The other backing is an exclusive “grip tech” ribbed rubber designed to reduce the mat sliding. The rubber nibs grip the underlying carpet, holding the mats firmly in place. As you can see, our mats are all about quality and attention to detail.

Will the mat color match my carpet? Back to top

Floormatexpress has many different colors in all its styles of mats to match the look of your vehicle. Regardless of the style you choose, you can rest assured that you will have a color available to you to complement the interior of your vehicle.

Why does the color of my mat differ from the color shown on my computer screen a little? Back to top

Computer monitors vary in their ability to show true colors accurately. Of course, the colors shown on your monitor very closely resemble the mat color you receive in your order. If you are very concerned with matching the color carefully, please order yourself a free sample by contacting us.

What type of embroidery do you offer? Back to top

The options of embroidery are extensive and vary based on the type of mat you choose. Rest assured that you will have enough options to satisfy your needs with our products. If the electronic cart confuses you, please download a fax order sheet or call us so that we can process your order to your satisfaction.

I don’t see my vehicle type in your licensed logos. Why can’t you embroider the make or model of my vehicle? Back to top

Due to a recent court ruling this can not be done as it infringes on licensing issues. However, please note we have a tremendous number of licensed logos available. We can of course use licensed logos on your mats!

My vehicle mats have grommets: do these come with your floor mats? Back to top

We add grommets if they were part of the original OEM mat with some exceptions such as BMW’s, certain Corvettes, and others that are exclusive to the vehicle maker. In these cases the mat usually lays properly over the flat snap type, and with our special backing grips well without grommets for a cleaner look that holds the mats in place.

I can’t find my vehicle floor mats? What can I do? Back to top

We can do any custom fit project that you need all we need is an traced template to match your area needed. There will be an extra $20.00 charge for the custom template.

How do I clean my floor mats? Back to top

Simple cleaning is always the best way to clean your mats. Vacuuming and using mild soap and water is usually effective with hang drying. Most carpet spot cleaners are safe on the mats as well.

When will I receive my order? Back to top

Our factory has one of the quickest turnaround times in the industry. All orders are custom made to order when they are received, so within several days your mat is made, and then shipped from our factory. Depending on where you live in North America, the regular ground free shipping takes an additional several days. Expedited shipping and processing are available.

How secure is my order? Back to top

We use advanced SSL (secure socket layer) technology for our order through a secure payment gateway. Feel free to verify all our security certificates. Your credit card information is not stored on any Floormatexpress server and is used solely for the payment gateway. Registered users may opt to store their payment information on Floormat express, and speed through future purchases on the site while knowing their data is protected. We keep your data secure by following the Payment Applications Best Practices (PABP) — a set of 13 industry security standards developed by Visa to keep your data safe.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, and Google Checkout. Floormatexpress is diligent in making the shopping process simple and efficient for you.

How does shipping work with your mats? Back to top

Shipping within the continental United States (except for P.O. Boxes) is done with UPS. Any shipping to P.O. Boxes is done via Parcel Post. Orders outside of the continental United States are subject to applicable duties and shipping fees.

What is the return policy for Floormatexpress? Back to top

  • No returns after 90 day period on anything
  • No returns on embroidered or logo floor mats unless Manufacturer defects.
  • Returns on wrong color, because we offer samples per request wrong color orders are subject to a 20% restocking fee along with customer to pay for shipping.
  • Returns for manufacturer defects, Floor Mat Express will replace for correct mat.
  • Returns for wrong fitment, we require a digital image emailed to returns@floormatexpress.com of floor mat placed in vehicle clearly showing wrong fitment.
  • Not what you expected and do not like product, as long as it does not have embroidery or logos placed on mat you can return your floor mats and there will be a 20% restocking fee along with customer to pay for shipping
  • All returns require an Return Authorization (RA)#, you can either email returns@floormatexpress.com which is preferred or call by phone 888-554-0666.
  • For cancelling orders, you would need to notify us 24 hours from time of purchase, if after 24 hours orders are subject to a 20% stocking fee.
  • All returns must be in new and unused condition for refund, orders will be inspected at time of arrival.
  • All credits for wrong color, product dislike, and any other issue excluding wrong fitment or manufacturer defect will receive credit for mats only not shipping charge.
  • Return process can take up to 30 days.
